This is the time of year that you can plant it outdoors. If if happens to freeze again, which it will, just cover it with some leaves or newspaper during the night of low temperatures. Tulips will do better outdoors. They require medium moisture as opposed to really wet or real dry. AND it will bloom again the next fall/spring. He must realy love you to give you a plant that keeps on giving. Enjoy it!!

While your tulip is still in bloom, leave it in a well lit area but out of direct light. When it starts to fade and look kinda dead, take it outside and plant it. Tulips grow from bulbs and tulips bloom in the spring and die out when the summer starts to come around. Your tulip though has been forced to bloom by a green house that sold it to wal-mart. Even though after a while it may look dead, the bulb down inside the pot under the soil is still alive. More than likely it will not bloom again this year, but if you plant it in the ground outside it will come back for you next spring. And after you plant it the folage may die off completely, but thats ok. Just wait till next spring, it will be back again. Good luck, hope this helped.

Don't water it every day, only if the top of soil feels dry. I'm not fimilar with the weather in Texas, but Tulips do need a period of cold for them to bloom. Treat it as a cut bouquet of flowers. Keep out of the sun and just enjoy its beauty while it lasts. Once the flowers die and the leaves start to turn yellow, toss it in the compost heap.

water it every day but dont flood it [ flooding is when the water goes over the rim and makes the dirt flot ] put it in some sun and some shade and if it starts to wilt [ wilting is when it turns blackish and starts to kinda fall over ] if it does that then just take it out of the sun and water it with warm water you can go to the store and buy "plant food" that helps so...good luck

water it everyday. make sure not to over water it. Make sure to kiss your plant every day. It helps the plant grow because it knows that it is loved. Also tell your boyfriend thanks I love plants. Make sure that if it dies buy a new one because if he doesn't see it when he goes to your house he might get mad at you.
