Can i use another product in addition to the preemergence? I know most preemergence will halt crabgrass already growing but we appear to have several types of weeds trying to take over. The weeds started in the last 10 days. Temps are 70's during the day, 40's at night.

sure, go ahead and spread the pre-emergence as it will inhibit new weed growth and then spray the yard with 2-4D (Weed-B-Gone) and that will take care of the weeds you already have. By the way, 2-4D only works on broad leaf plants. If the weeds are in the grass family...you will have to spot spray them WITHOUT getting any on your grass. You can use a small paint brush.

sure it will get the ones that haven't come up yet. and will give the lawn a chance to choke out the weeds.
