my bamboo keeps switching from energy to dessication. I'm suspecting it's either under or over watering. The bamboo is a potted fargesia which used to be in a garden. I transplanted it some months ago and now it's dying, after a phase when it sent up new shoots. leaf tips are becoming yellow, then drying out and falling. Help !

I've grown Datura metel and Datura inoxia. But the description for Brugmansia sounds like the same plant. Anyone know?

Tomatoes taste great in the summertime. Sweet, juicy and red, summer toms taste great. But the rest of the year, tomatoes are tasteless, pink and hard, a far cry from summer perfection. If we can make corn to fuel cars, take the seeds out of watermelons and grow grass that's made for golf course greens, isn't it time some botanical genius make a decent tasting, year-round tomato?

I have a live oak tree that is really 4 live oaks that fused together many mnay years ago. One section/tree has fallen and has been removed by a tree crew. I'm looking for a patch, paint or seal that I can treat the exposed area and will allow the area to heal. The other three sections of this tree are strong and healthy. I don't want desease or bugs to cause me to lose the other parts of the beautiful tree.

Otherwise known as jimsomweed, or can also be called locoweed. I have heard it is also a hallucinogenic if even slightly touched.

These are new flower beds. Dalhias, Day Lillies, Aisian Lillies, Miniature Hollihocks. Even some of my potted plants aren't quite as full as last year. I thought it might be the water, but, my house plants are doing fine. I put in bags of black dirt and cow manure before planting( one bag of manure for about a 5ftx5ftx5ft bed) The Hollihock was doing great until one day it started to wilt. I tried to dig it up to put it elsewhere and it didn't have a dirt ball at the roots but the roots looked good(no bugs) the Lillies all grew to about 5to6 inches and stopped growing. They didn't die, just quit growing. I am at a loss. Can anyone give me any ideas?

I've been growing some basil plant I bought from the grocery. The bottom half of the plant has yellow leaves, while the top is green. They're growing in pots an are about 1 ft tall.

I've heard this is a sign they're not getting enough sunlight, but they get about 12 hours/day with the daily temp 25C.

Any suggestions on what might be wrong with them?
