spray the plants they are eating with liquid seven or malathion. Use beetle trap bags to catch them but put the traps away from the plants as the bags will attract other beetles

I used the beetle bags and caught some but they still invaded my plants so I sprayed with a Ortho spray for japanese beetles and it worked great. No more beetles.

The best way i found to get rid of those Japanese beetles is spraying malathion and dusting the plants with sevin dust.

I live in the South where Japanese beetles seem to run rampant. I was in danger of losing both of my dogwood trees, and we used sevindust. That did the trick, but you have to apply it on a dry, non windy day, and you have to re-apply it after every rain. However, it did manage to keep them away.

Get a beetle bag from a home center, and hang it in your neighbors yard where your neighbor can not see it, or you putting it there.
