you can try spraying "Pam" or WD-40 on a CLEAN chamber, but the best is to scrape it after each mowing before it dries and hardens.

If you are using a push mower- mowing the grass when its wet... then it will clog up..Sometimes when you go over higher grass, tilt the mower up til the grass is off the blades. If you are having starting problems make sure that you have plenty of gas and oil in the mower.
Good Luck!!

I painted the underside of my lawn mower with KBS RustSeal. It not only provided a permanent, tough, slick surface that prevents grass from sticking and clumping, but it also has protected the deck from rust & corrosion.

Lemme guess... You're using a "mulching" lawnmower?
Put the bag on, and sprinkle the remains around afterward. The mulch gets turned into a sticky pulp, and the only way to get it off is to scrape it out.

Yes. You will need to stop and slightly lift the outer edge of the mower after every row or so. This will shoot the loose grass out.

Silicone srpay always worked for me. And of course, you were going to hose off the undercarriage after using, weren't you? Once clean it shouldn't take much to keep it that way.

Spray it with WD-40, or coat it with a viscous lubricant (I would just look for something on the store shelves that lubricates metal.
Try a gear lube, or a joint grease
