The tag on the planting containers said that they loved sun???? That is why I didn't buy regular impatients this year because my garden gets way too much sun. They look great in the evening and morning, but during the day, they look like they are about to shrivel up and die. So....why do these New Guinea Impatients do the same thing? I've even lost 2 so far :-( and usually I have such good luck with my flowers.

I have these annoying plants in my backyard along the fence and beside the garage. They grow like 12 feet tall and have purple berries on them. My mother-in-law said they are called poke plants. Anyone heard of them? I've cut them down several times and even poured bleach on them. How do I kill them?!

There are bee's gathering around the house, slowly building a bee hive in a corner outside of the garage door. What is the best and most effective way to get rid of the hive so the bees don't come back? Or what's the best way to prevent bees from starting the hives in the first place?

I had an amaryllis bulb it would sprout stems but it never bloomed. A florist told me to give it partial sunlight and to water it 3 times a week. He also told me that some amaryllis bulbs were bred to bloom in the Spring and some in the Summer. I need to know more about the care and maintenance of these bulbs. I planted a trumpet vine 5 years ago and this year it's really starting to take off. Beautiful orange blooms! I love it. But I was doing some research about pruning and such and now discover that it's a very difficult to control vine. Should I dig it up? I'm scared it will take over my yard. Should have spent some time researching.

Blue Atlas Cedar is about 6 1/2 feet tall. Needles are turning yellow and falling off. Have noticed a small limb (3 inches) has no needles on it now. It is planted on the south side of our house and receives about 6 hours of sun per day. It is planted in a flower bed. Can I put slow release fertilizer on it now or should I wait?

I purchased a Purple Calabash tomato plant (heirloom variety that Thomas Jefferson grew 200 years ago) and it has grown very well. It became a huge plant. However, it didn't have very many flowers and therefore very little fruit. The tomatos that did come out didn't get very big and then they fell off long before ripening. Has anyone grown one and had success? Have you grown them and failed and have some input too? I was told perhaps they weren't pollinated enough. My other tomatos did wonderfully. This one I was really looking forward to enjoying and sharing with others.

I have a saltwater pond right next to the sea and when the level drops in the summer it smells like sewage. I am trying to pump seawater into it right now, but the smell still lingers.
