yep if it is rooted on your land it is all yours and you have to keep it out of your neighbors airspace if they so request

Yes, if it's rooted on your land it's your responsibility. If you don't trim the branches at your neighbor's request, they can call a service to trim the branches and YOU WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE BILL.

If you are the property owner and your neighbor asks you to trim the limbs then you definitely have to. The limbs can cause problems for them like dropping leaves on their lawn, clogging their gutters, etc. If you do not trim them then they can get them trimmed by a tree service and you have to foot the bill. i am sure they would not finding the most expensive service either.

Yes you are. We had a huge limb that came down last week in a storm & we had to pay $800. to have it removed OUT of our neighbors yard just because it was still attached to our tree.
Different cities have different ordinances, check & find out what yours says.

If I were you I call the city/town and ask them, what one town does my not be correct for the next town. Be safe and call.
