Doesn't have to be super powerful, just lifting about 100 pounds, frequently. I've already looked at the normal places, and they are all DC powered (car battery). I suppose it could also be manual.

Im building a small room within a room, and I am not bolting it to the floor. Its going to be constructed of plywood so that I can play my guitar and crank up the volume. Im simply going to use 5 pieces of plywood. 4 for the sides and one for the top. Im going to put this in my basement.

My question is what kind of material should I line the insides with?

I asked for help on this before but was told to replace the bulb. Well I took the light off the blower but can't find a way to get at the bulb. How the heck do I get at it? Oh it's a 81/2 hsp Yardman about 8 years old.

Right before I noticed it doing this. There was one time that it did not come on at all. I went to the basement and just kinda moved the condensation pump(slid it a little) then the pump kicked on and right away the furnace came on. Any ideas?

I ut out Mouse poison and he ate it all and came back for seconds, and thirds. Then I put out sticky trapsand found them knocked out of the way. Then I put out mouse traps and then fancy mouse traps. He stole the food from them about 8 times.

I was told that you cannot use regular joint compound over the fiberglass tape. I want to know if this is true. If it is, what type of compound should I use for fiberglass tape?

I am recoating a piece of furniture that I used oil based MinWax polyurethane on previously.
I finally invested in a HVLP spray gun and would like to use faster drying finish and I am thinking Varnish would be a candidate.

Can I apply varnish over oil based polyurethane ?
How about water based varnishes over oil poly ?

Thanks, Mike

I am wanting to redo our kitchen, but we are on a tight budget and we have everything worked out except the backsplash which is an ugly white and cranberry color. I would just remove the tiles, but they were laid down before the cabinets were installed so they go up behind them. I am a doing this all myself and looking for any suggestions on any neat or creative ways to cover it up so it will look good!

I wold like to lay a vinyl covering over the old tiles but the pattern may show through in time. If I used a levelling compound then whatever it sets against would be glued into it. Can anyone give me any advice, please?

A few months ago Family Handyman Magazine had a qucik and easy plan to build a butterfly house. I have lost the magazine and wanted to do this as a Christmas gift. Do any of you "yahoos" have back issues, that could retype the info for me? Or a fax would be great too! I can send along my e-mail or numbers if any of you have it. Thanks!
