I ut out Mouse poison and he ate it all and came back for seconds, and thirds. Then I put out sticky trapsand found them knocked out of the way. Then I put out mouse traps and then fancy mouse traps. He stole the food from them about 8 times.

Yep, a cat may be your only solution! But even then...be sure you don't leave any of the sticky traps lying about!

Your problem reminded me of something that happened when we had a mouse problem (almost always seems to happen when it gets cold out). We had it so bad, one evening alone I trapped 13 mice! We didn't have our cats anymore, unfortunately, so I had bought a couple of those sticky trap sheets. They do catch the mice, but they don't kill them. I caught a few with them and then put them outside for my husband to deal with when he got home from work.

Another problem we happened to have at the time was a feral cat population of about 40 with new litters occurring all the time! You could not get near them and they were becoming inbred with obvious physical problems (did finally call animal control to help with them).

So if you can picture a few sticky traps with a mouse on each one lying on the patio. Here comes my husband home from work and the sticky traps with mice are gone. The next day what do we see but a few of those wild cats running around with live mice stuck to their faces with the sticky paper!!! (Sounds cruel, but it was hysterically funny! And that was the second time we called animal control...they hadn't shown up yet from the first call.)

Sorry this was so long and sorry it didn't really help with your question, but thought you might enjoy the humor of the situation!

The appearance of a mouse generally suggests that there are more than one of the little critters. There are usually entire families or colonies of mice, so the one you think is a super mouse, is just one of the clan. It's not uncommon for mice to figure out ways to take the food out of the trap without springing it. There are some kind of traps that are enclosed, so when the mouse goes inside, the traps spring before the mouse can escape, thereby trapping it. You might check the hardware store and see if they have anything like that. I've seen them advertised on TV. One of the pluses of that kind is that you never have to see the mouse or empty the trap after it's caught. You just throw the whole thing away, mouse and all. Good luck!

I live next to the woods. I get a dozen or so mice each year. The best thing I have found is Victor traps with the part you put the bait on to be metal. They make a plastic one but it doesn't work. Take a small piece of yellow American cheese. Place it under the teeth of the metal trap and squeeze it around the metal then set the trap on a peice of newspaper. Then you catch it just fold over the newspaper and dispose of it. Set a trap in each room by the wall better near a corner. Now to prevent them before they get in. take a 2 liter bottle cot many small holes in it half inch to a inch. Cut one slit in it. Buy all weather mouse poison from Home Depo. and put it in each bottle. Place them around the perimeter of you property. This way other animals wont get at it. Put new poison in the traps every 2-3 months. Sooner if needed.

Sounds like you have more than 1 mouse.Keep using your traps but make sure the tension is correct on the snap traps. If it is too tight the mice can get the cheese or peanut butter off easily. Make sure the cheese isn't too large so it can't be taken off easily and with peanut butter all you need is a thin layer so the smell attracts them. How to fix the tension - on the snap traps the long metal bar that you use to make it snap may need to be bent a little so it snaps easier. When placing them they need to be put along the wall as the mice run along a wall. Good place to put them is under kitchen sink, under stove, under fridge, under TV stand, under couch, in a closet along wall, etc. Make sure children and pets cannot get into bait or traps. Very important to check for areas where they are coming in. Seal with steel wool as they cannot chew through this. Good Luck

No one has a single mouse. On average if you see one there are 50 more you haven't seen yet.

That poison is probably killing some of them and they will die and stink up the inside of your walls. Glue boards don't work . You either need to put out a lot of snap traps baited with peanut butter or call a professional like Terminex to get them all for a flat rate charge.

Haha! Are you sure it's a mouse and not a rat. Some rats are Warfin resistant.
Try a larger glue board. I believe that stores like Lowes or Home Depot might carry traps that are exactly that. They trap the rodent inside without killing it. When caught fill up a bucket of water and drop the trap inside. Same for the glue board.

Put peanut butter on the mouse trap. Mice or rats are very quick so they can snatch a solid piece of food off the trap pretty fast. They would have to lick off the peanut butter ,tripping the spring

Not a super mouse,, you caught the mother these maybe her babys , they can lick the food off a trap with out setting it off, just keep up the traps and posion, only thing with the posion is they die in the walls of the house, go around the house and find where there coming in, and all so what there after when they do get in, Like open bags of dog or cat food, Keep your house clean, and the problem will go away

A conventional mouse trap works best. Put peanut butter on the trigger.

I'm guessing that you have more than one mouse. Also, if you use thread to tie a piece of cheese into a mouse trap, it works well. Also, peanut butter.
