The question isn't inane, but the statement about racism is silly.
Sears/Craftsman power tools used to be made exclusively in black, perhaps still are?
The issue is; in part; about BRAND identification, and subliminal advertising attempts to get someone to recall that YELLOW TOOLS, must be De Walt???; hence "let's shop Yellow?" Most Makita are a pleasing light blue.
Though I don't own any; I like the idea of PINK Poly plastic power tool "casing"
The question also regards; through the context of subliminal suggestion; items like comps and cell phones; etc. Does a RAZOR function differently in Cherry, than in Black? Yikes it's seeping into washers/dryers/refrigerators/ Where will it all end?
The first time I ever buy a tool for it's color; I hope I get hit by a moving Bus when I exit the store.

I work at Sears and all Craftsman power tools except the Lithium battery line are a black base and incorporate red, yellow, and or gray into their design.

Sorry but the bright colors are a real asset when you are looking for them. I specially like my day-glo green measuring tapes.

You probably can't find one because they are sold out. What man wants to own a pink power drill?
