After the KGB, oops I mean IRS, gets hold of it, hopefully,I have enough to take the family out to Burger King, Haha.
Really, set aside enough so the kids can get through college and have a bit after college, give some to charity, pay off the only debt I have, mortgage and couple of grand on a car. Finish fixing up the house, sell it, build a new house. Probably won't be much left, but what's left, take the family to Hawaii or Europe for a month, then put the rest in mutual funds. Then get back to work. It's rough stretching out a million dollars.

Hopefully after taxes because the government would take more than half!
A hot car sounds wonderful, but then there's insurance and some jerk would want to steal it or strip it........
A house would be nice, but depending where you live, it might not be much of a house afterall.........
Shopping....naw, I have nowhere to store it......
Food.....naw, then I'd need bigger clothes.......
Party.......no, I'm not sharing with my leach-for-friends. As soon as the money was gone, so would they.
Travel........maybe
Mainly I'd do something boring like invest it. Then with a regular income from it.......granted not a lot of income....but enough to let me do "little things" more often like travel, go out to a really nice restaurant and order a fine wine, invite friends over more often and be able to serve something more than beer and pretzels.

Buy a decent house for no more than $200,000. Buy a car for my husband and one for myself and maintain maintenance on it, open a coffee shop up in Maine where I would want to live, invest some, open a retirement fund, open a few CD's, and then eventually I would help out family and take a vacation to Ireland.

I would pay off all me debts which would amount to about $30,000. I would probably build a sunroom on my house& a few other home improvements.Buy a sidecar for my Harley, get a nicer car and definitely spend a day at a spa getting a massage, facial, peidcure and manicure before I took my vacation to the tropical islands. Then, I would bank/invest the rest and put in for my retirement at work.

I would buy 20 acres in the middle of nowhere, build my dream log cabin and raise Vanner horses and German Shepard's.
There would be room for the kids to visit (in their own little cabins). Would have to have a 4 wheeler for fence repair and getting the mail, and a tractor just because I could...LOL

I'd buy myself a house, a brand new car, and put the rest in the bank for necessities, and take my classes out for lunch.

Not much after the bills get paid. Really, I don't think much would change. I'd probably open my own salon and just live an decently relaxed life.
