Building 30X50 with 10' at truss rafters building and want to make part of it 20X30 insulated living quarters. Want to coffer a portion of the ceiling to reduce height and cubic footage to be heated and cooled.
Steve, feel free to pitch in here.
Do I use 2X4 for hangars, plus for the smaller coffer framing, or can I use 2X2 or firring strips? Would be drywalled then mudded and stomped for texture.
Advice? any websites out there with instructions?

Hi all

I've got a problem with my combi-boiler

When cold the boiler is at about 1 bar. But when hot (65C) it shoots up to 3.5/4 bar. The red line is at 2.5 bar so I'm guessing this isn't a good thing?

This is a fairly old boiler.

Any ideas?

Thanks for any help.

Steve

The main thing I need to know is...how can I determine if the service coming to the meter box and then into the house is suitable for a 100 amp breaker box? The wires coming from the pole to the house and from the meter box and outside disconnect into the fuse box appear to be as old as the house. The house was built in 1950.

I've run several empty loads with chlorine bleach added, but the odor is still there. Now what? (also, the washer had sat for several months unused before I received it.)

My kitchen cabinets are starting to pull away from the wall slightly and I'm wondering how I should fix it. Now, the cabinets are fastened to the wall in the back and it's my far left corner cabinet that is pulling away from the side wall that's the issue. There is a 1.5" gap between the side wall and my cabinet, but the front face of the cabinet extends to the wall and it's 3/4" thick. It's this front portion that has a slight gap between itself and the wall. It used to be flat against the wall and in fact the top still is, it's the bottom portion that has a gap. How can I fix this?

A while back, I asked a question about capturing methane gas from cows to use as alternative energy and got some Ha Ha, Ho Ho answers, some were suggesting insterting plumbing parts into cows etc. Pacific Gas and Electric is doing this on a very large scale and it is working amazing well, with nothing inserted in cows, put that in your pipe and smoke it! The same pipe you wanted to insert in the cows! Ha!
