Do Pictures collect moisture if placed in a plastic box??
I thought maybe if i put them in an envelope and then in the box it might help...

Put them in a cardboard box. Go to the dollar store, they sell photo boxes cheap. Or just use an old shoe box....decorate it if you feel like it.

A cardboard box is better-also use envelopes as you thought. Put them in a dry place like a closet-not the basement or attic.

yep plastic will hold in moisture,
thats why your potatoes go bad when there in a plastic bag,
