I moved into a new apartment last November, I found that the balcony doors are very drafty. With the expected heating increase from BGE this year, what can I do to insolate the doors? I rent so I can’t do anything major.

I have yellow elastomeric paint and a white flat paint all for concrete wall. I would like to mix a light yellow color. Could they be mixed?

If not, what kind of paint could I mix with my ready-to-paint yellow elastomeric paint?

I am having a garage sale this Saturday. I will be selling A LOT of gift bags, varying in size - probably close to 100 of them. Any ideas on how I could display them? If I lay them on the table, they would be hard to see, and if I hang them on a rope or pole or something, people would have to remove all gift bags to get to the one they want...

Also, how much would you pay for
1. a very high-tech but non-digital camera
2. an AM/FM radio (no area for CD's or casettes)
3. a 90's portable CD player with headphones (but no AM/FM radio)

Thanks!

I'm installing a timber post & rail fence and wondering whether to go to the trouble of a scarf joint or whether a butt joint will be just as strong and look good? Timber is treated pine 150mm*40mm and I'm putting up 2 rails at 2.5m spacing fixed (nailed) to 125mm round posts at heights 0.5m & 1m per rail. Thanks.

We have just recently moved and I want to install the closet organizers that I have taken from our old house. Recently I've been seeing ads on tv where they use glue instead of screws on things. There's a commercial where they glue a basketball net up on the front of a house (instead of bolting or screwing on) and the kid hangs off it.
If I need to attach support pieces in my closet, should I simply glue them right to the drywall? Will the glue & support bars / pieces simply rip off from the drywall?

Any thoughts?
Thanks!

I'm 300lbs (yes I know I'm fat - any rude comments will be reported) and this is the 2nd time the toilet seat has broken. Where can I get a stronger seat that will not break? The seat that just broke is from Home Depot.

I tried removing a bumper sticker from my car window,by peeling and scraping it off with a razor blade. Now I'm "stuck" trying to remove the glue. Someone told me to use nail polish remover, but that did'nt work. What should I use?.

I have been told by one of my friends who had bought his place a while back. He had said that it was better to start saving & collecting stuff (household things) before he had moved in.

He said it would be better to start collecting stuff for the house before you even get your house.

Does this work?

When I start my washer, it keeps on filling. When the tub is full, the water spills out in the back of the machine. I manually advance it, but it does not agitate. Then I advance it to spin. It spins and drains out the water just fine.

I suspect that something wrong with the water level sensor. So how do I start fixing it? How do I check the water valve? Do I open the back panel?

It a 4-yr old top loading Kenmore. I guess that is why the company was sold to K-mart.

Please help. Thanks.

I'm looking for an inexpensive floor for my kitchen. I'm leaning toward vinyl tile because I can install it myself quickly. Does anyone have any advice on installation. I don't want the corners of the tile to peel up in two months.
