Perhaps without the sarcasm of answer two; I do agree with the basic answer.

Unlike GOLD, currently selling at the mid $700 range per ounce; and platinum in the mid $1200 range; the issue is certainly more localized and not at all a standard; dictated issue.

I think one can assume that scrapping salvage will never bring them wealth; and alloys; to recycle; are not an inexpesive process anyway. You can also probably assume that Aluminum; one of the most popular salvage items, isn't strictly a huge money maker.

Call your local metal recycler. After taking some metal about a onth ago, I found that brass, copper, cast aluminum and stainless steel get pretty good prices and just plain iron, etc is a lot less. I think we got something like $40. for 250 lbs or something like that. Regular aluminum, like cans, scrap building aluminim, etc is pretty good but not as high as cast.
