I have yellow elastomeric paint and a white flat paint all for concrete wall. I would like to mix a light yellow color. Could they be mixed?

If not, what kind of paint could I mix with my ready-to-paint yellow elastomeric paint?

Elastomeric is great for exteriors and is latex based. If the FLAT is as well, there won't be a problem. The only real issue will manifest if the elastomeric has any sheen too it; the flat you mix in will dull it down.

The major issue about the flat alone is that it has less agents/polymers in the "vehicle" hence making it more porous. You'll counteract that with the elastomeric.

Do not mix the flat paint with the elastomeric paint. If you want to change the tone use white elastomeric paint to do this. The contractor that says it is OK is very wrong and I feel bad knowing he is out there doing these types of things on jobs.

although it will mix and probably look ok it will degrade the properties of the elastomeric paint. So again do not do this.

NO! elastomeric paint has polymers that will lose their bond if you mix it. lighten it up with white elastomeric paint.
