Just moved in, don't know model number.

If you have started a clean cycle and the temp is above 600 degrees, even most overrides will not work until the oven cools down to about 475-500 degrees.

I want to assume this is an electric range/oven

The SELF CLEAN feature which does LOCK the door is electronic.

You may not strictly need the model number, but certainly the BRAND name and going to the Mfg. even online; might get better answers.

My GE has a door lock over ride button on the control panel.

If you don't start the self clean cycle the door shouldn't lock so why worry about cutting it off.
