I'm 300lbs (yes I know I'm fat - any rude comments will be reported) and this is the 2nd time the toilet seat has broken. Where can I get a stronger seat that will not break? The seat that just broke is from Home Depot.

get one that does not have the little legs.

The little things that sit in top of the rim - that is why they are breaking.

Sit it flat on the rim and it evens out the weight.

The problem usually is with the strength of the hinges that hold the toilet seat. Some plastic seats will move and wood ones will break. I have often thought of designing a seat that holds the sides of the bowl to stop side to side movement. This is hard on seats as well as weight load. But just like chairs I have to remind myself not to "plop" down on em. I would just go to a regular plumbing outlet and ask for their toughest seat.

No offense from here. Depending on whether or not your toilet bowl takes an extended or the usual oval; have to attempted looking into commercial fixtures for bathrooms/toilets? Obviously they endure more seating, and possible abuses. Even HD or Lowes might offer "industrial" types.

Actually, one answer offers a suggestion; albeit sarcastic. There are certainly stainless steel steats manufactured.

Hi Gypsy,
Here is a site that advertises one. I don't know if they are any good or not but they look like it:
