We have two parts of the house that need to be jacked up and re-enforced. We'd like to put together a floor plan for after the house is structurally sound. Any suggestions for a program that will walk us through this process, so when we are done with re-enforcement, we can put together a design, budget, critical patch, etc.?

hello, I'm having a central air , air condition trouble.
When I turn the thermostat too cool, the fan turns on, the outside condensor spins the fan, so everything turns on.

Problem is no cold air out of the vents in the house.

I went to check the condensor while it was running, INstead of blowing out warm air, it is blowing out cool air.

Any Ideas?

my 1 year old being such a light sleeper? Her and and my 7 year old have bedrooms right next to eachother and share a wall. It's really hard to keep a 7 year old quiet for an hour during nap time. I feel it's not fair to my oldest to keep telling her to be quiet and telling her (and friends) that they have to play outside until the baby wakes up. This baby wakes up at the slightest noise. I've tried playing lullabys to drown out noise, but she doesnt sleep well with that either. What should I do? There's no other quiet spots in the house. Do I have to sound proof the room? How would I do that? HELP!!!

I am looking to do my house carpet thinking it may be cheaper than buying new. I don't want to have to worry about odor or the dye coming off on your clothing if you are laying on the carpet or anything like that though. Thank you ahead of time for your answers!

I went to Home Depot twice and asked this question to 2 different "experts". One said 24" and the other debated between 36" and 41". We live about 40 miles north of Detroit, Michigan.

Also, one said that 60 pounds of contrete is enough and the other said 120 pounds (per post). Some was to go around the post and some inside.

No, it's not 2 pipes too close to each other! But somehow, hot water seems to find its way "backwards" into cold water pipes.
Facts: Well, pump, pressure tank (40-60 psi), softener plant, electric water heater, washing machine (valves always open).

Hi
does anybody knows a good solution - what to do with waste office paper? Not to much to afford ot transport to the paper mill but enough to let me think of the global ecology. What could be the best solution for recycling directly in the office - making new paper sheets (I know - not for office use, but artistic), papier mache or whatelse? And do you know good receipt for doing this (cutting, soaking)? This is not newspaper but premium white paper.
