Hi
does anybody knows a good solution - what to do with waste office paper? Not to much to afford ot transport to the paper mill but enough to let me think of the global ecology. What could be the best solution for recycling directly in the office - making new paper sheets (I know - not for office use, but artistic), papier mache or whatelse? And do you know good receipt for doing this (cutting, soaking)? This is not newspaper but premium white paper.

Thanks for your input, but I'm not asking about reuse of the sheets (of course, if possible I write on the back side as well), and not interested in feeding worms as well, I asked about RECYCLING at my place.. have valuable ideas? machines, techniques, tips??

Okay, I would like you to exclude "the yard" details, the Q is - what could be done right in the office?

Paper is made/recycled from pulp. You may not have the space or financial resources for the equipment required to implement the recycling process. Shred the paper and use it for packing material.

I guess a Q I might ask is,,,"Is this used paper? Is it paper that might be blank on one side still? Is it shreddable and hence be disposed of? Are there no recycling facilities you might TAKE quantities to?"
Certainly if the paper has any viable use left in it,,, do that,,,IE: use blank sides as scrap paper,,,note paper that will eventually be disposed of anyway. If your budget, and organization have enough time for crafts, then I suggest paper recycling is less an issue than what matters. That said,,,, If your org happens to be a craft related business, then that opens up more options. No offense but the word is Recipe, not receipt.

You don't say how big your office is or if you are in close proximity to other offices. If you are near other offices you could combine your waste with theirs (providing they recycle it); you could shred it and use it as packing material, or shred it and bring it home for your personal curbside recycling pickup. Is there a nursery or elementary school nearby that could use shredded paper for art projects?

Check to see if your county/city offers a dropoff program for the residents. Sometimes they will allow small businesses to use these sites as well. That way you can mix your office recycling with your home recycling and drop it all off together.

I just saw on TV that earth worms eat shredded paper when moist. Become an earth worm farmer, and make some money on the side.

Get yourself a wood burner and burn the paper.
This way, you can keep the house warm for the time, and if you stock it up in the basement, and just go down there and toss a load in, then it will keep you warm for a good bit.
I wish you well..
