Got about 50 standard size tiles to remove from my bathroom. What would be the best way?

hammer and bolster chisle. This type of chisle is about 100mm wide and wont damage the plaster if done carefully. You'll find that a lot of the tiles may come off with little effort.

I am a kitchen/ bathroom fitter. In short there is no easy way, you just have to hope that they have not been stuck on properly. If they are firmly stuck, then the only way to remove them is with a hammer and bolster. You will most likely damage the wall behind the tiles, so, you then have to repair that, i.e re plaster or new plasterboard walls.
There are a couple of cheating ways around this problem
1..if it is tiled floor to ceiling (as long as the tiles are stuck on well)then you can re plaster on top of tiles,
2....you can stick plaster board over the tiles and re plaster this.
But as I said, it is a horrible job, that can be quite dangerous (make sure you wear good quality gloves and eye protectors) and no real quick and easy answer.
My suggestion is to get a professional in to remove them and repair the damage caused.

Why not just tile over them if you can? Or put up tongue and groove?
