My boyfriend thinks that it is insane that I want a curtain up on the shower stall since it already has a door. I say it is nice to have some privacy in the shower once in a while. Am I weird or is he just difficult? If anyone can provide a site with a pic of a stall w/door that also has a curtain that would be AWESOME!!!

I need to remove one coat of Kilz 2 latex primer so I can get the wallpaper glue off better so I can start over. What's the best way to do this? Will it damage the drywall?

I was doing some touch up on my bathroom wall and used the paint that the previous owner used. The paint is semi-gloss but for some reason it is not shiny at all on the wall and its the very same paint that the previous owner used. Also if I wanted to get a painter to repaint my walls in the bathroom can they do that without messing up my wall border that I had installed??

Is it straightforward to install a washer and dryer (front load), in a newly purchased home? or does one need professional installation.

Thanks

Like if you've ever seen Big Brother 8, the way they have trees on the wall with the door to the HOH room. Anyway, like something that can make the doors blend into the walls, and I'm looking for a beach scene.

I painted my sons room like a teal/turquoise color to match his space bed theme. I am not artsy at all and wanted to paint something on his walls. Does anyone know where I can find something online to print out and use to trace or some pictures offline that I can print? Thanks a bunch

I am about to buy a house in which the previous owner laid ceramic tyle in a laundry room. I'd like to keep the tile, but when he laid it, he didn't stop at the rear door. He kept laying all the way through the doorway and to the outside step. He didn't install a threshold with weatherstripping. He instead hung the wrong kind of door, and it has a gap that both hot air and water can get in through. I plan on installing pre-hung insulated steel doors and need to remove the tile in the doorway so I can get the pre-hung door and frame to fit. Any suggestions?

I'm living in a rented house, and the chick I rented from said it's OK to paint the walls... they were an awful sage-colored gloss, and I painted them to a maroon (3 walls) and black (1 wall) with semi-gloss paint. It's worth noting that I had some problems getting paint to "stick" over the gloss, in case that will affect later paint jobs.

Now she springs on me that I MUST have the room back to white before I leave... any tips on covering these colors? It's a small room and I will really only have a day or two to do the paint job, so I hope to find something that can cover in only a couple coats. Is there some sort of primer that can achieve this? What about this "Kilz" paint I hear about?

I recently painted a wood desk and its really rough on top, like you can feel the grooves from the paint brushing. Whats something I can put on top, other than glass (i have a hutch on top the desk so i'd have to get a custom cut glass) that will make it smoother for the mouse to move on, write on, etc... thanks!

I would appreciate a few suggestions. I was initially thinking of nice leather but I heard it stains quite easily and I don't want sodas/food to spill over while watching TV. Do you have any suggestions for mid-priced furniture? My home theater is quite nice. I spent $10,000 for a Hi-Def TV, Blue-ray player, and Bose speakers. So I am not looking for a cheap look. Definitely nothing as cheap as Ikea or Walmart! But nothing tooo expensive as some of those 100% full top grain leather furniture I have seen in ads costing $3,500. . I am looking for a living room set - Sofas, Loveseat, recliner chair. Any links would be appreciated. Any specific suggestions as to what kind of furniture is resistant to stains, would also be appreciated. Thanks.

I will be buying a new undermount sink and need to buy a new faucet. I will be buying a faucet that has one handle for hot and cold versus the 2 handle because of the sink we're getting. My question is should I get a faucet with the spayer attached?
If I do this then when my new granite gets installed I will only need them to drill one hole. I'm really kind of nervous about the srayer being attached because I wonder if it will not go back in the faucet properly after being used a gazillion times. So what do you think - spayer attached? Or separate sprayer which then they would have to drill another hole but not a big deal to me. What do you think? Have you had good luck with sprayer attached to faucet? Thanks!!

my partner and I are in a disagreement and I was wondering what the consensus was on wreath hanging. Its a floral wreath and in my mindset I say it should be hung on the door outside.

He says it should be hung inside. My problem is its kinda ugly but it was a gift from his sister inlaw and neither of us want to offend her.

I have never in 30 years seen a wreath on a wall inside the house exception being Christmas time.
