I've been looking for the "perfect" bed-in-a-bag set. I've found it. I've searched & searched & can only find it in a Full size or larger, no twins sizes :o( . I have a friend who told me it was possible to get the full sized set & have someone who knows how to sew (obviously I don't) do alterations to bring it down to actually fit a twin size. (someone else suggested I "tuck" it in, but that would be too bulky). I've never saw this done before, so I wanted to ask people who were experts when it comes to sewing & let me know if this would be possible. Thanks!

So I just bought this house and the plan is to fix it up and then put it up for rent. Well it's really a good size house 3-4 bedrooms, bath, kitchen, dining room, living room, another 2 small rooms I guess was entertaining room with fireplace also and then this tiny little room by the kitchen. We are painting it and leveling it among other things.....So my parents are wanting to do a lot of it themselves....and they are in an argument about painting the house...should they do it now or after they level the house. One says if they paint, once they level, the paint will crack and they'll have to paint again...Well I know nothing about it I would think they should level the house first of all before ANYTHING but that's just me. So any construction worker out there or someone who knows more than me obviously can you lend a helping hand.

Every wall in my house is white. I have wooden floors, medium brown or tan in color. The sofa is a dark grey. Dining room chairs are an off white with a glass table.

I was thinking of using a red or maroon, but my girlfriend wants grey.

I also have curtains that look like they belong in a funeral home but they are perfectly serviceable. Should I let my new puppy chew them up so I can buy a new set of curtains without feeling like a shopping freak, you know, changing my furnishings all the time just because I can? Thanks

When initially placing the glass in the frame, is the bead of putty enough to hold the glass until the glazing points go in?
Or must I support the glass additionally in some way? There is no lip in my old sash frame and little room for wooden beading.

I am planning a agriculture convention/meeting and need some ideas about the centerpeices. I will need around 13 total and with the budget i was given they can't cost more than $5-6 a piece. I thought about doing something with potted plants from the garden center but i would need something to stick in them or some way to spize it up a bit. Any ideas? Or any other ideas for something? agriculture or western related is good but i'll consider any ideas!

I'm trying to figure out how to rearrange my room. I posted earlier and I'm giving pics this time. How can I make it look less cluttered? I keep the futon up unless I have friends over. My closet is very small and I have a curtain up, ass you'll see. Please ignore the mess too I'm doing laundry hahahaha.

I had a 2 bathrooms tiled on the floor and wall and my kitchen floor was also tiled about a week ago. It has this film over it I tried cleaning it off with a wet rag but it left the grout dark in some spots around the toilet in one bathroom so I didnt do anything with the other bathroom or the kitchen yet. My questions is what did I do wrong? I have to get the film off some how can someone please help me by telling me how to go about it. The grout was not been sealed because the person that put it down for me said it didnt need to be sealed. Is that true? Please help me with this situation because I have guests coming in about 3 weeks and I need to take care of this ASAP!

I have a 20ft by 8ft space that will become divided into the living/dining space. This is a really long wall to decorate only with pictures. I am considering a crisp contemporary style wainscoting panel across it and then painting the top (wall part) a neutral color. The style will be classic contemporary with very clean lines. Is wainscoting a good idea here?

My cabinets are maple, but the outer "shells" are, I think, "fake" wood. They are stained with a light coat of polyurethane. They are in considerably good shape except around the door handles is grime from our hands opening the doors. (NO Cabinet pulls, a finger grip) I would like to do this as a do-it-yourselfer. What is the cheapest, but best way to paint the cabinets? I want it to look like I bought new cabinets with no paint brush strokes or speckles, etc. etc.

Thanks!!!

I have a large master bath that needs mirrors on all three walls. I found a large framed mirror that I really like that will fit well on the two large walls. I'd like to purchase another, though, and have it resized to fit the remaining small wall. I'm wondering if it is possible to pay to have someone recut the mirror and frame to the size needed. The height is fine; I just need the length changed.

I live in a rental building and they have the ugliest bathroom tiles. I believe they are an actual tile. Anyways I know you can buy cheap linoleum tiles that are peel and stick. I would like to put the peel and stick tiles over the old tile. We are probably leaving in 9 months. How would I remove these tiles without hurting the previous tile and removing all the glue? Thanks. Also if anyone knows the rental rules - do I need to remove the new tiles that I put down?
