You're in luck because black is a neutral. If you want a dramatic look, paint all the ways gray and one accent wall red or terracotta. If you want a warmer look, paint a sandy, caramel color and accent with bright pillows, candles, lamps, rugs and throws. I like the warmer look myself.

Go with something light then to make the room look bigger (dark colors make it feel more like a cave). You can either go bright with orange or bright green, or you can make it beige or a subtle yellow (buttercup, not lemon). Black frames on the wall will really help tie the room together, and if you put a mirror on one of the short walls, itll reflect the length of the longer walls and make the room look bigger.

a light shade of brown, light shade of forest green, somthing along those lines. Check out pallets online like Behr or something so you can get an idea. Remember try to avoid dark colors all the way around because it will look cave-like.

Use light colors to keep the room light & spacious. An off white or a light creme/beige color would look great.

Ivory or cream to keep the rooms feeling bright and open. You can use bright reds, yellows, blues for accent. (Curtain panels, pillows, dining chair slip covers)

White is the only color that will make a small room look bigger.
