Where the people are getting ready for college...You see the room in green - then they decorate it w/ Target stuff & they're sitting on a bed with blue cloud bedding & they're all wearing blue?

WHY can't I find that bedding on Target.com?? Was it NOT Target?

I already have my main pieces. They are off-white. My accenting colors are brown, teal, and green. I really want to buy some accent pieces like chairs and side tables, but I want them to have some personality. My walls are white, my major pieces are off-white, I need someone to offset the blah!

Before we moved in seven years ago, my bedroom used to be a baby room so it's pretty tiny. My walls are disgustingly plain white. My curtains are this rich beige color and all my furniture [desk, shelves, bed, etc.] is light wood. My bedsheets are a theme of .. kind of nature mixed with red. Light red stripes with gray-ish green flowers and another gray-ish green sheet underneath. I was thinking of accenting the curtain/window wall with a light red [to go with my bedsheets] and paint the other three walls a deep, cream color with yellow mixed it and possibly a tiny hint of red if there is such a color.
So two questions... one, where can I look online to find like catalogs or something that show me all different kinds of wall colors? And two, what do you think of this design idea, would it work in my room?

I am currently building a house and love the look of window casings, but I don't want white blinds. The casings will be painted white. I want 3 inch brown wood blinds, but not if it looks funny. The house we are building is based on the arts and crafts style of architecture and has wood exposed beams in the kitchen. Any homedecorator ideas would be great!

I have just put two coats of Crown bathroom and kitchen emulsion in the toilet and it's totally uneven and patchy. I don't consider myself a bad painter, so I don't understand why it's still so uneven and marked. I am using a paint brush rather than a roller - might that be the reason why?

My friend got this couch for free from a friend when he moved into his apartment. He would like nice English leather chairs to go with it, but he's a poor college student living on his own. So what are some better alternatives??

Most everyone has a "bad experience" story at the Home Depot. Where I live, there are other places to get what I need, so I no longer go to HD unless I am forced to for some emergency repair or something.

Why do so many people still go there?!?! Please STOP!

I like the look of the slide-in range as opposed to a freestanding or drop in. However, I am concerned about the backspash. We are planning on a new countertop with a 4 inch backsplash, and then tile between the countertop and the cabinet.

Does a slide-in have any counterspace behind it (or can it?) to allow for a uniform backsplash along the whole back wall? If not, then I'll either do a drop in or think about a countertop without the 4 inch and just do tile.
Thanks.

I'm moving into a new apartment but they do not allow painting the walls. They are plain white and I hate them. Does anyone know how to put color to a whole wall/room without paint? I know paintings are good but its not enough for one wall. Thanks in advance.
