Dude thats just like asking what the standard size of a human is.. their is no standard a brick is a brick, go build a fireplace already

Standard brick is 3 5/8" x 2 1/4" x 8"
Other sizes are available

If you are using brickes for a fireplace, you have to use special bricks, not sure what ther are called, "fire bricks"? If you use regular bricks, the heat from the fire wil eventually cause them to crack, break and even explode! Been there, done that!
