i have seen alot of white on white lately and it is very pretty. I personally would not want it, but I love color.

In French styles, you see alot of white on white.

So is it an accepted decorating scheme? Absolutely.

It all depends on what mood you want that room to have. A white on white room will have a clean, crisp, stark, pure feeling, and possibly clinical feel, depending on your decor.

White furniture does NOT look good with white walls, unless u are going for a heaven on earth theme and plan to fill the room with only white things, without pictures on the walls, and with translucent white curtains. Then it might be fine. However, if that is not what you were hoping for, and yet you still want something light and relaxed, you might want to try beige, black, and brown colored furniture. If you are adamant about getting your white furniture, you might want to paint the walls another color, perhaps another type of white except with a hint of another color - something like a whitish green, or blue, or any color, actually. Black walls would also be nice and would offer a seventies/modern art vibe (with the black and white) and you can really go for a theme with that. However, black walls can sometimes be gloomy, and dark colors tend to make rooms look smaller.

That would be pretty dull to me. Not to mention hard to keep clean. You can use ANY color with white. Try your favorite color. Or if you already have white furniture, then paint the walls. This is something that is a matter of opinion as to what looks good to you.

I looked at a house for sale recently and it had all white walls throughout with hardwood floors white area rugs and all white furniture and it looked great! I never would have considered this myself but it was very clean and very striking looking. There were splashes of color in the room in the artwork.

it's hard to say, what kind of room is it? What kind of furniture?

What kind of feeling do you want the room to have? Warm? Cool? Cool colours are blues, greens and purples - they have a calming effect and are good for a bedroom. Warm colours are reds, golds and browns and they are good for kitchens and living rooms where you would want people to feel welcomed and warm.....But now a days anything goes so go with what you like.

I personally like a lot of rich vibrant colour so I think all white is a bit cold and sterile looking. So, I would suggest adding some color to the walls or the furnature.

you should try brown furniture or black. a darker color would look good with the white walls. but the white might also look good if you have darker items on it like a white couch with brown pillows, and then a semi dark rug underneath. hope this helps!

Hi! I personally don't like white with white. It may look too clinical. Almost anything goes with white, but I suggest black (you know, sort of Japanese/Asian Style) or pastel colors such as a light blue. I decorated my bedroom in white and black and I think it looks great. Also, it's easy to find decorations in those colors.

Nope - looks like the inside of a mlk bottle.
Paint the room your favorite color in a bright or pastel.
Then get accessories in light/dark shades of the wall color [ ex: peach and rust ], and a rug with the light, dark, and the white.
Add a metal [ brass, chrome, iron ] for some lamps, candle holders, mirror frames.
Frame all pictures in similar color and material [ brass/chrome, oak/walnut. colored enamel ].
A plant or vase or flowers, and your room is in good shape.

personally white with white is a little too much white! i think that dark colors look very cute with white, but if its for a bedroom or something i would say all colors would look good.
