My house is very old and the cieling won't hold the weight of someone sitting in the chair. Is there any way I can make a frame or something that will help support the weight.
The chair I'm getting is similar to this.

Hello all, I have been a mural painter off and on for a few years and have finally decided to commit myself full time to this occupation. I would like to incorporate other design elements, such as general faux finishes, finishes for furniture, and room design. I would like to incorporate the word designs into the name, or something similar. I'm an aquarius, so that means I'm quirky and I'd like a name that reflects my personality, yet is also professional and draws the client. Can you help me??? Many thanks for your time....peace

I've been told than real wood flooring needs a lot of work to keep it up and laminate doesn't - plus laminate is cheaper. What's the REAL deal?

should you get the stain guard or can you do it yourself cheaper? If so what is the best kind of protectant to use?

I would like to purchase a larger (maybe 4' tall) water fountain that I can place up against a wall. You know the ones that have water that trickle down like a rock wall with lights. For indoors

Well I live in a flat and the kitchen is down right ugly. The problem with it is the counter tops/cabinets. They are the cheap things that you see in low income apartments built in the 70s. It has the white gold speckled plastic counter tops, with real ugly dull poop brown cabinets. The cabinets are in good shape but my landlord has told me that I cannot paint them :(. My appliances are new, but they are white and kind of dull cheap looking ones as well. The flooring is completely bad, its real cheap plastic flooring that I think was meant to look like rock flooring, but it went way wrong. What the hell can I do to make my kitchen appear to be more..modern? Attractive? Anything? I can paint the walls if that helps. I am willing to do almost anything I have spent 4 months with this kitchen and I just cant take another day of it!

I live in a ground floor condo that faces north. I get great light, but not tons of light and I'd like to add more.

The walls are painted a warm white (oyster I think), which allows me to keep white walls, but not have them stark.

I was told that hiring an electricial to install light fixtures can be costly (I was considering track or recessed lighting).

I'm thinking of trying torchieres since they face up and light the ceiling. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I've got hundreds of metal cabinet knobs and pulls, I've identified the exact products and they tend to sell for $2 at the cheapest and the MSRP is $3.49 apiece.

They're opened and they have the screws. I'm wondering where I can sell them (at least $1.50 apiece.)

Don't say eBay because the weight of the knobs will make the shipping cost just about as much as the knobs.

I've searched online but found nothing. I'm thinking that Home Depot, Lowes, or maybe even a pawn shop may buy them but I'm not sure about how much they would pay.

I have a block wall on one side of my back garden. It's grey and boring - what can I paint it with without having to treat it before hand? Also can I spray paint the wall? I have a Ronseal Spray machine (battery run). Ronseal recommend it only be used with Ronseal products but can I use other paint in it and I do need to water it down or something?

My husband and I have two burgundy, leather, Lay Z Boy recliners and a couch in our living room. They are about 7 years old and still in great shape. My husband will not part with his, but I am ready for something new. What should I replace it with. Also, are recliners totally "out of style." Someone made that comment to me a while back.

I have a butter-colored couch. Brown chair. Turquoise accents. Lots of chocolate accents too (including adjacent dining table). I was thinking of doing the walls in a cocoa color. Suggestions welcome. Thanks!

I have an old tub that I would like to use somehow on my lawn. It is round, and quite large, too deep for a birdbath. The original use was for bathing babies. Any clever ways you have seen for using something like this?
