I have a small bathroom without the extra room for a cabinet to sit beside my vanity sink. I am thinking of buying a wall cabinet (at Lowe's or HD) and recessing it into the wall above my commode. I want the 12 in depth (for towels, Linen, etc.)without it sticking out that far. We are doing the remodeling so it is open to the studs. Has anyone tried this. I just have to try to match my doors with the vanity doors as close as I can.

I read about it in one of my technology magazines and can't remember enough about it to do a decent search for it. Anyone else know where I can find the adapters for this?

It screws into the lighbulb outlet then the lightbulb screws into it.

After having my bedroom blue for quite some time, I decided to paint it all white. Thinking it was a simple task, I bought some white emulsion and a roller and started to paint over the blue! However, the blue is showing through in patches even after painting over it several times.
At this point, I searched online for the reason and read some articles about painting over darker paint and some suggested to use a 'Primer'.
What can I do now?
Can I just paint the primer all over the white paint?
Help :(

I don't wanna use it as an office or a guest room, I want something cool and different. It can't be used for a gameroom because our living room is so big that we have our ping pong table in it.

I've hired a company to paint my home. They said they will apply one coat of paint. I've noticed that there are many spots of the old color still visible through the new color. You can see the paintbrush strokes as if it was just applied more thinly in the spot. The house was light grey and is being painted a dark grey.
Does that really count as one true coat? Should they go back and re-do the parts where the old color is still visible (up close) thru the old color or is this being too perfectionistic?

I am buying a house with my fiance. The house is 2 story, about 2000 square feet, has a kitchen, 2 1/2 baths, a dining/living room combo, a family room, an upstairs loft, and 3 bedrooms. We want to have a country-themed house and I was looking for some ideas for paint colors. All ideas welcome.

Last year I had my bathroom remodeled. I had a new tub and tile installed. I asked the tile man to put the tiles together and not to have grout lines. He insisted that they HAD to have grout. I told him to put in the smallest, narrowest grout line as possible. Well now the tile grout is looking yucky. I know how to clean it so that is not the question. I just want to know why do you have to have grout in the first place? If the tiles are pushed up against each other with the sides touching and then put in grout in the very small area. why would a professional tile man insist that it MUST have grout?

I am looking for ideas for my room. It's 15L x 17w and has sloped ceilings starting at 3 foot, reaching 8 foot. The end walls are 8 foot, and both side walls are 3 foot.

I need help creating a functionable, yet stylish room. It needs to be a bedroom, and be able to be a hangout! Since I have friends over all the time! Also I'm in high school, getting ready to go into college so it needs to be organized!!!!

Ikea has a lot a great stuff, but I can't get a theme together.

Any ideas?

Their web site (cidinternational.org) claims they are " 'the' certifying body to accredit and certify interior decorators for the first time in history." Is their certification really valuable, or does some other organization offer a more recognized certification?

Okay, so, I am redisigning my room...What i was thinking of doing was a low key classy room, with a light shade of color on the wall (idk what color though!) and some nice black and white photographs. I got a beuro and desk and stuff and its a dark wood. So i was wondering what i should use to decorate my room with and such. Any help would be greatly appreciated = )

Does grout ever go bad?...once it starts to lump inside the bag, is that sign that grout is bad/unusable, can you turn it back into powder somehow?......also the excess grout removed from between the tiles, is it reusable?...

Hi,

I was wondering, how cheap can the manufacturing cost be for a simple designed plastic model.

It is basically size of a credit card width, hight of a cell phone, and it has two huge holes on the left and right side.

Can you tell me?

Thanks!

There is only a 4ft wall (to the ceiling) between our kitchen and living room. The rest is all open. Across the 15ft. opening there is a 1 ft. drop. this is hard coat like the rest of the walls. We would like to put a wall between these 2 rooms with a 3 ft. opening.
Is this possible? We are looking for ideas as to how to do this.
