I would go with a golden beige. It will warm up the apartment and with the rooms all connecting, it will create a unified look. You have two dark grey )charcoal) couches which is a neutral so to coordinate the room, I would really like two print paisley fabric wing chairs or other type chairs with the golden beige background, a charcoal grey, burgandy, medium blue and hunter green combination. Go to a furniture store and pick out two chairs and the fabric with those colors. Throw pillows on the couches of burgandy, blue, blue, beige. and maybe a soft throw on one arm of the couch..Then a wonderful antique look wrought iron cocktail table with a glass top and two end tables in a dark wood or wrought iron and glass too. Antique Brass lamps, A real large plant in an empty corner. A few bookcases, maybe a curio cabinet and maybe an area rug in burgandy, beige, hunter green, grey in a geometric contemporary design to tie the room together if you don't have carpeting. Actually, you could place the rug over the carpeting too. To soften the room, I would buy real silk side draperies that are lined (Linenandthings.com) to soften the look of the room and make it have a cozy feeling.
Dining room, I would purchase a black wood set or deep brown in a contemporary style. Say a Parsons Table with very nice chairs. If you have windows, do the silk draperies in the dining room too in the same color. Color should be in beige family.
Kitchen the same. A nice valance over the window...some accessories and a nice kitchen table and chairs of your choice.

First of all, since the apartment is so small I would stick with the same color(or different shades of the same color) throughout the rooms that actually connect to one another. Different colors will chop the apartment up. You can do a totally different color in your bedroom if you want. Since gray is basically neutral you can choose pretty much any color you like depending on the look you want. If you want drama, you can use deep shades of burgendy or red, for a more contemporary look, stick with beiges and taupes. That's what I would do. Paint mostly shades of taupe or cinnamon or caramel throughout and choose one wall to accent with a punch of color (red or navy). Good luck. Take your time and have fun. Also, be sure to sample your paint color first. Buy the smallest sample you can and paint a patch here and there. Look at it for several days in several different lights before deciding.

Depending on your persoanlity and your favorite colors.
But my suggestion would be to paint all the rooms the same color maybe a pale grey all over then an accent wall in red or purple in the room where the couches are.
Have fun!

1] pick your three favorite colors.
2] if walls already are clean, and white, don't worry about paint first. Get furniture! Bed, dresser, night table, LR chair, side/end tables, lamps.
3] say your favorites are smoke blue, sage green, and charcoal gray. Paint LR fav. color - say blue.
4] get a dark [ green, gray, or blue rug, if needed. ]
5] add throw pillows in sage and smoke, or a print of both.
6] frame all paintings, posters, artwork, mirrors, in similar colors/materials - oak or walnut, brass or chrome, colored enamel
7] do some gray stone ornaments [ candleholders, boxes, trays ], with sage and smoke blue accessories.
8] brushed chrome lamps look great
9] get a potted plant - rubber tree, cactus, ficus - even if it's fake - in a smoke or sage pot.
Bedroom -
9] get print bedding with smoke blue, sage green, and charcoal gray. Get curtains if needed, and throw pillows at the same time.
10] paint walls sage.
11] use smoke, sage, and charcoal for accessories - lamps, vase or planters, candles
Kitchen -
12] try to keep all visible accessories [ dish drainer, coffee maker, potholders ] in blue and white and chrome - simply because everything comes in those colors!
12] Put away everything you don't use every day, so kitchen stays neat.
Bath -
13] get smoke blue, sage green, and maybe white shower curtain. No clear, peep holes, or nudie curtains.
14] get sage rug, trash can, toilet brush holder for floor. I suggest a plunger too.
15] get smoke/sage/chrome soap dish, toothbrush holder, tumbler for counter.
16] get a short, squat, pleasantly scented candle, in smoke or sage.
DO things a little at a time.
BUY bedding etc. and shower curtain first, then match paint - it works much better that way.
Ask friends to give you paint or hardware/housing store gift cards as house-warmng presents.
Have a paint party first, with no furniture if possible. Fill your guests full of soda and pizza until the paint is dry, THEN go have beers.
Go to thrift shops for bedframes, dressers, tables, bookshelves. Don't buy anything you can't have cleaned, and
do the sniff test first. [ Don't buy a used mattress. ]

Anything goes with Grey, but you want to stick with the lighter side of colors to keep the place looking as large as you can.
