Decoration Help - How Can I Decorate My Office - I Work In A High School??

When I was working in a school I found some quotes that I liked and based my decorating around them. My bulletin boards I used wrapping paper from a local dollar store, which worked great.

1] paint the room a soothing color, if allowed
2] get pretty lace or eyelet curtains
3] an area rug for floor
4] pretty cushion for your desk chair, a few for loveseat
5] small loveseat would be nice, especially for conferences
6] do you already have desk, bookshelves, file cabinet?
7] relaxing landscapes, flowers, anything non threatening to students
8] cover bulletin board with matching fabric, maybewith lace or ribbon or rick rack around edges.

11] collect objects like jars, boxes, trays [ for office items ] in all wood, stone, pewter, brass, glass for desk and top of shelves
