re tiling shower grout line meeting the tub ? should I grout that area or use a silicon sealant?

Use silicone. The walls and the tub both move. You want a flexible joint to prevent cracking.

if it is a fiberglass tub use the silicone when you get ready to silicone fill the tub with water silicone the joint wait 24 hours for the caulk to cure and use the tub,if it is cast iron you con use grout or silicone

silicon, you can even buy it to match your grout colors, and it comes sanded or non sanded. non sanded is usually used on walls
