if any shops do the trade in price will be written in to the deal anyway so in effect you will recieve no value for it at all in the long run. instead of try ing to trade it in against a new one you will be better off getting a cash discount and then advertising your old suite in the local free ads.and if you dont sell it after a little time give it away on your local freecycle web site

If you are after raising some money from them then it may be worth trying to sell on ebay or through an advertisement in your local paper.

If you just want rid of them then phone your local housing authority and see if they have a local warehouse for donated furniture to assist families in stocking their homes when being housed.

My local housing authority has a "Furniture Project" and they make up packs of furniture from donated goods to furnish houses for young single parents or homeless families.

If your furniture is in a good state then it is likely that some family would be very happy to have the opportunity of having it.

The only drawback would be proving it is made of fire retardant foam. Most charities will not accept furniture for that reason.

If you are buying new furniture then ask the company if they will help you dispose of your old suite - often they will take it away when they deliver your new one!

If it has a good shape just get it reupholstered. My best friend got her entire living room done for about $400 plus the price of the fabulous custom fabric she chose.

No they don't but you should look into a consignment shop in your area. They will sell it for you.
