im planning on repainting my room blue and white, blue on 2 of the walls and white on the other 2, the room is longish rather then boxy if u can imagine, so do i paint the shorter walls blue, facing eachother and the otherwalls white? one of the longer walls has the window, which is about 80% of the wall.
also, what color do i paint the roof?
and can i paint over orange?

I'm 13 years old- i'm a girl. I want some ideas for a room that I can be happy with for a long time. I have a very small room and I know that when painted white it's supposed to make the room seem bigger, any ideas on how I should decorate?

I want to know because I am trying to decide if it is worthwhile to sew my own pillow and buy the down. Down pillows are so expensive from the store.

I noticed that in most houses, the ceilings of the rooms have those white powdery rugged or bumpy stuff on them. Why don't they just make the ceilings flat and smooth? What is the purpose of that white powdery bumpy stuff on our ceilings? When i touch them they just crack and fall down creating a mess on the ground.

I have spent forever making my room perfect. It is bright, colorful, and I have alot of really neat interesting things. But, there is still one part of my room that I don't know what to do about.

On one wall I have a shelf that stretches all the way across it. It is about a foot from the ceiling.

It has stuff from when I was little, like birdhouses I painted and ancient little trophies and other weird little babyish knick-knacks.

I really need to update it, but don't know what to put up there. If you have ANY IDEAS please HELP!!!

Thanks SO much!

When tiling a counter top, do you need to remove the existing covering? I am assuming that I would. If so, should I apply the tile directly to the plywood? Will the plywood be wide enough?

I'm expecting a baby and still living at home with mom and dad. it would be too costly to move out at this point because my partner and i are still in college. for this reason baby and i will be sharing a room. my bedroom is somewhat small and now i will have to put in a baby crib and other necessary things for the baby. i don't want the room to be cluttered and also baby safe. what are some good ways to maximize the space. The only thing i can think of is moving my television off of the floor and mounting it on the wall to clear up some floor space. What else can i do?

I am a bit concerned about taking a load bearing wall down, although it is done by a bricky with 20 years experience, and the job is done with all the right materials and with care, would you please give me your view on this subject so that my mind can be at peace.

For my bedroom, I would like a nice antique, old-fashioned looking, romantic comforter and crisp white sheets, along with other antique-looking accessories. Any idea where I can find these items for a low cost (under $50) ?

Is it worth while getting Lino through out my house or Laminate? Lino would be cheaper and is way easier to fit (not that laminate is difficult).

What are the plus and minus points to Lino over Laminate?

I have been decorating my bedroom lately and I need easy, cheap ways to decorate my room. The walls are a mint green and i have a hot pink/red door with brown trim. I don't have any floor space, or wall space, but my walls are so boring, what are some things I could do to make my room more exciting?

I need a look for my room. I'm 14. I have a very small room, it's 10ft x 15ft. The height is 9.5ft. The color of the wall is green. Now, I'm planning to add an accent color of black and white. And a little splash of orange. The crown molding is the same color as the walls. I have a white ceiling and a white cabinet that goes from the floor to the ceiling.

Items in my room that needs color
1. Bed sheet
2. Pillow sheet
3. Comforter / blanket
4. 2-seater sofa
5. Rug
6. Lamp shade
7. Curtain
8. Photos, candles, any accessories.

My question:
1. Where exactly will I put the orange?
2. How about the black and white?
3. What color will I put on the 8 things listed above?

Color of the walls:

Arrangement of my room:

Please help me?
