The Paint Runner, a roller with the paint inside it and extension poles to reach up, is advertised on a couple of shopping channels including vectordirect.

Has anyone bought one? Are they worth it?

Our house has all the original woodwork. We are wanting to remodel soon and wondering if it's better to save the original woodwork or to update it?? We are looking at updating to some very beautiful oak trim and doors with some design, but wondering if saving the old woodwork adds to the value?

Thanks for your help!☺

I don't know if it's possible because I admittedly know little about painting, but can you remove primer from a wooden door that has never been painted/stained before? I primed it thinking I'd paint the doors white, but I've been thinking about it and now I don't know if I made a mistake and I should go for a stain to enhance the look of the wood. Is it even possible to remove primer or should I just forget about it and go ahead and paint the doors? Thanks.

Specifically closed stairs (i.e. there is a "knee wall" around), and the options are carpeting or engineered wood with nosing on the treads. Thanks.

I want to install a small bathroom in my basement consisting only of a small vanity sink and a urinal (therefore no solid waste). Is it necessary to install a sewage life? Or is there an easier and more economical way to get this done? Please any answers will help tremendously.

I don't want to use nails because it will leave holes. It is too thick to use thumb tacks.

What types of housewares products are adults ages 50+ looking to buy? Let's say that you had to give your mother or father a gift that was a housewares item, what would they want? Or if you are one of these people, what would you like and find most useful?

I'm looking to find out what this age bracket wants to purchase. Thanks!

I recently stayed in a hotel in a large city, and was quite surprised that the bathroom had two toilet sized fixtures sitting next to one another. I immediately identified one as the toilet, but the other one perplexed me somewhat. It had a large oval rim, not unlike a toilet, but the overall configuration was different. Indeed, there was a dial on the side of the fixture, that when twisted, would produce a water flow from the center of the bowl.

It took me a little while, but I eventually figured out that this plumbing fixture was a drinking fountain. Granted the water wasn't too cold and I sometimes got hair stuck in my teeth, but other than that, not a bad concept for a modern bathroom.

I'm finally getting around to installing my bifold doors that I've had for 5 years already (been so busy up until now) and I can't find the hinges or whatever they are to attach them to the sides of my closet. I have the track installed (I did that immediately but never got around to putting the closet doors in as well), so I just need to replace those hinge thingys. Can I get any kind or brand or does it matter? They're bifold doors for a closet, I have two sets for a master closet, and they're solid wood on the bottom and louvered on top (half & half). So, can someone who knows more about this than me (and I know basically nothing) let me know if I can just get any kind of hinges to replace my lost ones (I think they were probably in something that was thrown out so it's likely they're gone) or what? I'd love to have some links to stores that sell whatever you're recommending. Thanks so much.
