I want to install a small bathroom in my basement consisting only of a small vanity sink and a urinal (therefore no solid waste). Is it necessary to install a sewage life? Or is there an easier and more economical way to get this done? Please any answers will help tremendously.

Any human waste disposal requires proper sewage lines. The only way around it is to install a chemical toilet but that needs dumped and refilled on a regular basis so the long term cost will be higher.

if you cant tie into your main sewer line under cement because of area is to far (etc.) you can put in a crock and a submearsable pump with a check valve and pump up or over to main sewer line you still have to cut floor for drain pipes
