Looking for furniture to fill your new wild room - try selecting pieces with dark tones, like mahogany or a stained bamboo.
Think outside the norm and try a bamboo telephone stand or serving tray as your nightstand topped with a lush potted plant.
With all the darker tones, it's important to keep your window treatments light and airy with gauzy fabrics. You can step up your jungle theme by adding a gauzy canopy over your bed as well. For the walls, keep them lighter using caramel or tan tones.
Rugs are a great way to accent your floors without breaking your budget. As well as adding additional texture and interest, they can be used to hide ugly stains or soften hardwood that can often be hard and cold. Be bold and add an animal print rug or tone down your wild room with a more traditional oriental style rug within your color scheme. You can easily add a punch of color or introduce an additional color into your wild room simply by adding a rug.
If you're the do-it-yourselfer, you can get the same look for less when you sew your own pillows, comforter or duvet covers with fabrics from JoAnn Fabrics. See our sewing tips page for simple sewing techniques.
If you're one of the many decorating on a budget, try purchasing one main piece, like the comforter and use neutral colored sheet sets that you can purchase at discount stores. If you have more money in your budget, start with the bed or accent furniture. Don't forget to check out the many deals at Ebay.com. Ebay is an excellent source for home decorating accessories at a much lower cost; even better, it's fun to use.
Be daring, be creative and have fun!

My cousins have a room with this theme. They found these (I'm not actually sure what it was. I believe it was a sort of blankey, or carpet or something) that they put adhesive on and nailed it all around their walls. Then, my uncle cut off some long branches from their trees outside and somehow he managed to put them on the walls, so that they stuck out at random places. As for wall accessories, there were a lot of green pictures, flowers, and wooden beds, dressers, etc. Then, with some of their monkey plushies, they draped it over the branches. It was really neat.
