My sweater was an oatmeal color and a spec of black got on it --it's water soluble art paint. I tried to clean it up as best I could without damaging it some more. It has lighten to a light gray, but it's still there. What's the best way to lighten up this mark up myself till it's unoticable and keep the cashmere soft?

Going to the cleaners would be my last resort.

The Big Bags are Ziploc's newest product and it's usually 2 feet by 1.5 or 2.5 feet. It can store things like sleeping bags, sports equipments, etc. I need to buy some for a solar cooking project I'm doing this Saturday. Are there any stores that sell them or can you only buy them from on-line? Thanks!

All my shirts are black. And after wearing them for a while, they've developed hard, cakey white deodorant stains on the armpits of my shirts. It's absolutly disgusting and now I can't wear those shirts. So is there any way to get rid of the stains? (Please be descriptive because just telling me "use baking soda" or something similar doesn't tell me a whole lot. Am I supposed to put baking soda in with my clothes in the washing machine or am I supposed to soak my clothes with baking soda? uhhh.. I think my point has been made.) Muchos Gracias!

We are on a well and have somewhat hard water. I have a 65 gallon fish tank. There are a couple of places where water got splashed over the top. This of course left a long, white, hard water, drip stain clear down the side of the tank. I have tried vinager, lemon juice, clr, scrubbing really hard, etc... Any other suggestions for how to get these stains off?

I've got a white marbletop coffeetable...and watermarks! I inherited this from my mother, and I'd love to get rid of them. I tried marble cleaner, vinegar, regular cleaners (simple green, all purpose cleaners) to no avail.

So I have some beautiful creamy white cotton towels that I bought and laundered for the first time the other day. I laundered them ALONE, with no other clothes, and they weren't dirty or anything.

After laundering, they've developed dark gray patches and I can't seem to get them out. I've tried everything - color-safe bleach, regular bleach, different detergents - but the gray won't come out.

I also have a set of white sheets that I simply can't restore to their original white - even after multiple washes the sheets are still dark and "dirty looking".

My detergent is just regular Purex and my washing and drying machines are just normal apartment fare. With bleach not helping and myself at my wits end, can anyone help me make my "whites" actually WHITE? :(
