I'm going to a slumber/ b-day party this Saturday, and my parents are having friends come over with their kids. My mom wants me to clean and organize my room... What's the quickest, most efficient way to do it? HELP! Thanks!

My mom taught me this:
First you will need music!!!!
*Go through and pick up all of the trash and put in trash can
*Go through and pick up all of the dirty clothes and take to the proper place (Hamper or laundry room...whatever)
*Go through and get any Dirty dishes and take them to the kitchen
*Then now that most of the big stuff is taken care of and you will not have to run all over the house 50 times the rest will be easier to handle
*Get all of the clean clothes and put them away
*All of the stuff that is out of place put back in place
After your room is mostly clean:
*Change your bed sheets and make the bed
*Vacuum your floor

Hope this helps and is quick enough for you :)

Get all of your supplies ready first.

Have hangers, dusting spray, Windex, paper towels a laundry basket and a trash can ready .

Carry the laundry basket and pick up all of your clothes from the floor and separate them to clean and dirty. Put them where they go.

Take the laundry basket back around picking up all of the miscellaneous stuff lying around. Put it all away. If it goes in another room place it at your door or in the hallway.

Carry the trash can or trash bag and pick up all of the trash. Straighten top of dresser and any shelves while you dust them.

Clean mirror, make the bed and then vacuum and you are done. Pick up the things from the hallway on your way out and drop them off where they go.

Put on a shirt or jacket with BIG pockets and start in one part of the room, stuffing the things that belong on the other side of the room in your pocket. Remove them and place them where they belong when you get to that spot...then reverse your foot steps carrying the things that go behind you and place them appropriately. I do this all the time with things that go up stairs or down stairs....it makes it all fly by....clean one part TOTALLY before moving on! Happy cleaning!

I always hear some music and clean my room so I leave it nice and tidy, I have some wonderful tips, all you have to do is everyday, leave the things tidy, just a little bit so you don't have difficult work to do and you clean it so that's an forgotten chore. It would look beautiful and useful.

Put it all in the closet or under the bed, like my kids do. Or, you can start by getting the laundry in the basket if it is dirty or put away if it is clean. Then toss any garbage. Next, put books, etc... in their proper place. Then dust, make the bed and vacuum.

I find that storage bins work well. You have one bin(try to keep only a maximum of 5) for different types of things. That keeps things organized and clean.

bins. on sale at Walmart this week for three or four dollars. separate everything. they stack easily in a closet. don't forget to have a permanent marker so you can mark the lid with what you put into them so you can easily find it.

what i find that works is first, pick up anything you can use and put in on the dresser.

then pick up all the trash, and vacume.

then, fix up everything nice and neat.

then take the stuff thats on ur dresser and decide where u would like to put it.

hope that helps. (it works for me!)
