I am allergic to most chemicals and my clothes shrink in my uncontrollable dryer. Is there anything natural I can put in the wash to soften my clothes because when I hang them to dry they get they stiff and I have a weird skin arthritis condition called Psoriatic Arthritis and most chemicals really do damage to my flesh. So anything natural I can add to the wash or rinse cycle would be great! Thanks.

I'm helping my brother prepare his house to put on the market. In the bathroom is a dark green carpet that has noticeable urine stains, which are old. Does anyone have any ideas? Dyeing products, anything that could help lessen the ugly factor other than buying new carpet. Thanks for the help!

I want to starch my work uniforms and to my understanding you are supposed to add starch in the last rinse cycle when washing. I have a front load washer so you can't just open it up when it's time to add the starch. Since I don't use fabric softener can I just put the starch in my fabric softener compartment on my washer and it will add it at the last cycle like it would the fabric softener?

I don't need someone to clean or straighten up, just do my floors. I have 2 dogs and a cat who keep the job very necessary.

Its driving me crazy, I get a white filmy residue on everything. It doesn't wash off. Vinagar helps a little but not really effective. I can't afford a water softner system right now. My shower and toilets are a nightmare to clean!

My boys and girls track in large amounts of mud everyday. We have a back door that comes into our laundry room and it sort of serves as a mud room. Their shoes are always covered with mud. I tell them they can't come in with mud on their shoes and they do anyway. I have to walk through mud to get to the washer and dryer. Then their shoes lie around the laundry room caked with mud and they don't have any clean shoes to wear. It becomes a huge ordeal to get them to clean their shoes and is usually more of a mess than to start with. I am at my wits end. It would help if their father would make stepping stones or a sidewalk so we don't have to walk through the mud to get anywhere.

I really don't like the orange oil thing (special cleaning fluid for hardwood floor), it's sticky and smells real bad. I like fresh clean smell, unfortunately bleach and lysol leave streaks.

I did some washing earlier and just hung them up. All is well but one sock that has random holes in it and bits of grey. Looks like its started to decompose or something but I only bought the socks the other week! and the othe one is ok. Why is this?
