I have a porcelin bath tub that is difficult to clean. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions that may help? Thanks.

I grew up with an original clawfoot tub. We used Comet to scrub it until my mom discovered "Scrubbing Bubbles" (I think that's what it's called).
The previous poster is right--if the tub is holding stains and looks scratched and dingy you might need to have it refinished.

Sounds like it may need to be refinished, as the finish is holding stains? Try bleach and check the Yellow Pges for a recoat for tubs. Works and looks great!

could be you burned the porcelin. no longer something will eliminate that. you may attempt the porcelin conceal paints. or you may properly be to get a shower insert. (I did the comparable difficulty to a sink.....stainless-metallic. offered a sparkling sink........lots greater much less high priced than anew bath or insert, sorry) do no longer play with sufuric acid.......I hate to think of what you probably did to the pipes...............
