There is NO budget for a housekeeper or cleaning crew or third party of any kind to come and do the housecleaning. HOW do some people manage to stay sane and keep their house clean? The only people I've ever known whose homes are always clean are people who are obsessive-compulsive about it. Is there a happy medium? How do you find it???

i have the new kirby diamond edition and i had the upright electrolux. i have never tried oreck but i was wondering what you all think is better? the oreck wheighs only 8lbs but the kirby is a monster i can't even lift the thing. there is no way i can get under the bed with it either. my old electrolux was one of the smaller slim styles so it was lighter than my kirby and was able to get everywhere. i'm just really thinking about buying an oreck so please help me out. by the way i paid 800 two years ago for the kirby...thanks in advance..

I have one piece of fur that I think might have some insect eggs in it (I bought it on ebay), but I can't find anything on the web about it. How do I tell if it's got some horrible infestation, if it had some horrible infestation and there's just some dead eggs left over or if it's actually something else altogether like the skin shedding? And if it is insect eggs is there any way to get rid of them without paying vast amounts to a furrier?

I am a taller girl, and I have problems with my jeans shrinking in length. When I buy them, they are perfect, but as soon as i wash them, they shrink up and I am no longer able to wear high heeled boots with them because they are too short. I heard that dry cleaning them first before you ever wash them helps, but I don't know that I believe that. Does anyone know what I should do about this countiuous problem?

Just bought a new Queen bed and some new sheets for it. The sheets are fleece (Walmart made in China ones). Is it necessary to launder these sheets before using them?

I always used to wash the new double bed percale sheets before using them but only because it was easy to do. These new sheets are almost the size and texture of blankets.

I have tried vinegar, baking soda, and Tilex without much success. The surface is black rubber and I don't want to discolor or dull finish.
