i have changed soaps, fabric softers and dryer sheets, nothing helps.

ammonia could work, or you could try adding a cup of baking soda to the water..it usually does a good job taking smells out. I think Febreeze also makes a detergent if you haven't tried that (my mother used to live in a place with a lot of sulfer in her water, and found that adding a tbsp. of imitation vanilla to the water did a good job...just don't put it directly on your clothes, or it will stain)

Try adding 1 cup of clear (not sudsy) ammonio to your wash water - make sure you dry the clothes in a timely fashion.

Make sure you aren't overloading the dryer. I had the same problem with my towels when they weren't getting dry enough from the dryer.

the reason that it smells is because it starts to mold and become funky, all you have to do is just wash the clothes again
