My dog recently had her puppies and it was on my carpet. I went to the Dollar General and got a bottle of "L.A.'s Totally Awesome" and it took the stains right out of my carpet. It only cost a dollar. Try it, it really works.

Soapy cold water helps remove blood, but it will never fully remove it. It if has been there for a week, it has soaked into the foam mat below the carpet.

I removed a one week old blood stain from my husbands fall jacket just by dabbing it with a wet cloth. It's not as hard to remove. Wet a cloth with cold water and continue to dab. You might have to do it several times over. But once it is wet, it will slowly fade.

You got me there, bro. But I'm sure there are some stain removers that should work. If they can get blood off clothes, why not carpet? ------------------------- Good luck

hydrogen peroxide and an old toothbrush.

Just pour the peroxide directly on the stain and scrub with a toothbrush.

Voila! the stain will be gone with a little effort.

I agree with the medical professional that hydrogen peroxide works wonders for blood. And, I haven't ever had trouble with it discoloring the fabric. I'd test a small place and then if it worked okay, I'd GO FOR IT.

Vinegar, and it won't harm your carpet like bleach will.
