If it is unplugged and you let it dry out before you plug it in, you can do just about anything to it--even putting it under running water might not break it (though I only recommend that to people who would throw it away if they can't clean it).
Clean it with a q-tip and water or windex. As long as you let it dry completely before you plug it in, it should still work.

Make sure it's turned off. Take a q-tip and put a little rubbing alcohol on it and clean between the keys with it.

Use a can of compressed air. If there's gunk on the keyboard, unplug it and use a baby wipe to clean the keys.

Best way is the alternate turning it over and shaking it and then blowing on it from an angle. A straw helps too for step two. Hope this helps.

they have those little air blowers 2 get all the dirt out, i somtimes use a little broom and i just wipe with a moist scott towel.
