Might be expensive, but it sure will get things clean and disinfected.

Yes, will take the finish off. Use something Like Pine Sol blue
Also, rubbing alcohol is expensive to clean and floor and totally not appropriate for that use.

What is the purpose of using rubbing alcohol? It sounds sorta abrasive to the finish on the floor. I use pine sol or a multipurpose cleaner.

Depending on what kind of floor it is, alcohol will take out all the moisture within the floor and especially with vinyl, will probably make it crack or flake after a while.

That depends on what the floor is made of and what kind of dirt you are trying to remove. Rubbing alcohol might remove a ton of germs, but it will have little or no effect on some marks.

Alcohol is a strong solvent and may damage your flooring. Most worrysome is the potential for fire/explosion. I would advise against this product for general floor cleaning.

Try this cleaning cloth. You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on everything, especially cleaning windows and clean mirrors. They are made out of tiny fibers. They are guaranteed not to scratch and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe ANY surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!
I even waxed my car with it! I am sold on this ...I encourage you to try it out.

Beware! Alcohol in flammable! It's fumes can be explosive! Don't smoke, use matches and make sure there's no pilot lights or any other source of ignition in the room! Also remember to provide plenty of ventilation both during and after use! Other than that...yeah, sure it's safe.

If you don't have any pets or small children that are close to the ground it's probably not harmful but it could mess up your finish on the floor depending on what type of floor it is.

Alcohol is a strong solvent and a good disinfectant. At worse, over time, you will strip the varnish.
