I am a taller girl, and I have problems with my jeans shrinking in length. When I buy them, they are perfect, but as soon as i wash them, they shrink up and I am no longer able to wear high heeled boots with them because they are too short. I heard that dry cleaning them first before you ever wash them helps, but I don't know that I believe that. Does anyone know what I should do about this countiuous problem?

Drying shrinks clothes
also washing them in warm water wil also cause shrinking a little bit too.

Try washing on cold/cold water and air drying them

u can remove them from the dryer when still lightly damp and let them finish air drying. this will keep the shrinking down.

but wouldn't it be just more logical to buy 1 or 2 sizes longer in jeans, wash them, let them shrink, and then own a pair that fits you like new, even though washed?

You know I have washed alot of mine in cold water and then not dry them in a dryer, I think alot of it depends on the brand you buy, if you find some that dont shrink up buy lots of them , stock up .

Are you putting your jeans in the dryer?
It's best to hang them up to dry, this prevents them from shrinking.
They shouldn't be shrinking in the washer.
If so, try buying jeans from stores that "pre shrink" their clothing.
Hope this helped.

Try letting them dry over a chair instead of in the dryer. When they come out of the wash try stretching them while they're still wet befor hanging them to dry.

i wish i knew.im only 5.6",but i ALWAYS end up in high-waters.drives me nuts !!!the only dsolution i have is to wash them in cold water only, then to hang them in the backyard or in the bathroom to dry.that works gr8 in the summer, but in winter they just dont dry that way!i recently had them in the bathroom for 2 days, and they were damp.i figured since they were nearly dry,a quick spin on "Low" in the dryer would be ok.no,darn it.the things are up around my ankles again.someday, someone will invent non-shrink jeans and make a fortune!!!!

Air dry them instead of using the dryer. That seems to work for me.
