Just bought a new Queen bed and some new sheets for it. The sheets are fleece (Walmart made in China ones). Is it necessary to launder these sheets before using them?
I always used to wash the new double bed percale sheets before using them but only because it was easy to do. These new sheets are almost the size and texture of blankets.

Cloth products have finishers on them that keep them clean and looking new. Esp w/being made in China, I would worry about what chemicals I was sleeping on, and I would definitely wash them first. Good Luck!!

Washing and drying them in the dryer will only make them softer...
Plus, now your sheets will be clean from all the manufacturing and packaging chemicals.

it is not necessary, but they will smell better and feel better if you do. It won't hurt you to sleep on unwashed new sheets.

yes, gets the dye & sizing out & makes them very soft
