I know this is a wierd question. I have tons of socks that the main color is white but then they have designs like strawberries on them or cats, dogs, ladybugs etc... How can I get the white part of the socks really white when I wash them without messing up the cute designs ? I use Tide with Bleach Alternative and it does a pretty good job but I want them to be whiter (bleach white). Would adding Clorox 2 help ? Thanks for reading

I know you aren't supposed to hang up a sweater when it's wet because the weight of the water will stretch it out. I was wondering, once the sweater is dry is it okay to hang it up ? Thank you.

After picking off most of it -I tried freezing the two t-shirts but the gum did not really freeze....I then tried grapeseed oil and it came off real easy. I imagine it would work with oily peanut butter as well. I then put dish washing liquid on the patch of oil and worked it into the fabric and machine washed both t-shirts in laundry detergent. They came up spotless. Thanks for all the advice. Couldn't edit my original question to let everyone know so hence this is an answer rather than a question.

oky i just bought a pair of "board shorts" basically a bathing suit, from Oakley, its 89% polyester, and 11% spandex. i bought it in my usual waiste size but it just seems way too big.

does anyone think this will shrink up the first time i wash it, and dry it? i usually wash my light colors in pretty hot water, and use the dryer for like an hour.

My darling son decided to see what would happen if he put Elmer's Glue All on the carpet. There is a spot about the size of the top of a jar soaked and dried on the carpet. I can't cut it out and need a way to fix it. Before I get a bunch of answers saying I should be watching him closer, he is almost 13. Just curious.

Help! My 7 year old fridge with the no-prints coating(feels like vinyl) has little rust looking spots all over the sides. I've tried CLR, bleach, brillo, & every cleaner I can think of. I can make it better but it seems to come back worse than when I started! Right now I have about 30 fridge magnets trying to hide the spots. Theres nothing wrong otherwise so I don't want to junk it, but it looks old and makes me crazy!!

I always squeegie it after I shower but there is a ton of spotting from the last renter of my apartment... I don' t think they ever cleaned the door! What would be the best product to use? I've heard of using just plain white vinegar before, but not sure if this is valid... Thank you!
