I know you aren't supposed to hang up a sweater when it's wet because the weight of the water will stretch it out. I was wondering, once the sweater is dry is it okay to hang it up ? Thank you.

You can fold it and put it on a plastic hanger. I worked at a cleaners and after we pressed them we folded them and laid it across a pants hanger.

I do a lot of knitting. I would never recommend hanging anything knitted . It will stretch. Sometimes the shape of the shoulders will become altered, because of the hangers. Fold them and put them in a box or a drawer...

If it is wool or even synthetics that are heavy they are better off folded to keep the shape
